You want to be your own boss, but don’t have any idea where to start with a vending machine business. You have a friend or two that knows someone who does that, but you really don’t know what to do on your own. Is it easy? Is it hard? What do you do in order to start your own business?
Starting a vending machine business takes a few different steps. First, you need to find a reputable dealer that either sells or leases the different types of vending machines. Once you come to an agreement with them and sign a contract, you can move on to the next step.
Once you have machines – actually, you may want to plan this before you get a machine – is to secure sites for the machines. Are you going to place your machines in schools? Businesses? Hotel hallways? Line up the areas for your machines before you accidentally buy more than what you may actually need.
Get a membership to the bulk food store. They have the variety bags and boxes of candy, chips, snacks, fruit bars and gum that you will probably want to place in your machine. If you keep buying at the lower, cheaper price, that means there is more money for you at the end of the day.
Lastly, keep your vending machines business hopping by having it well stocked with a wide variety of options. Even though you are your own boss, the more effort you put in to it, the more money you will get out of it in the long run. Any effort is rewarded by the change jingling in your pocket at the end of the week. It is fairly easy to own and operate a business, with a little help from the machine.
